Nine Decades of Owner Satisfaction

Aggregate Industries Quarry

Owner: Aggregate Industries
Contract Award: $10.4 Million
Aggregate Industries needed to remove over 3 million cubic yards of overburden and to construct a haul road for access to new areas in their Morrison Quarry. This project required coordination with Aggregate Industries crews to minimize any impact on the operation of the quarry and processing of the material being exposed for processing. Rapidly changing weather conditions during the Colorado winter and spring forced continual schedule changes by Lawrence Construction to complete the contracted work to the quickly.
Some of the key elements of this project include:
3,200,000 CY of overburden excavation
Blasting of 46,000 CY of rock benches
3,400 LF of haul road construction (12% max. grade)
20 Acres of reseeding
2 Concrete outfall structures
270 LF of 36" reinforced concrete pipe installation
Concrete drainage improvements to wheel wash structure
