I-70 over Sand Creek Bridge Replacement included the removal of two deficient structures and the construction of one single structure in phased construction. This project was conducted in a wildlife senssitive region of the Sand Creek, meaning that Lawrence Construction had to deliver a quality product while also minimizing the impact on the surrounding enviornment. The area of this project was approximately 3 acres with landscaping of 2 acres including seed, mulch, blanket, trees and shrubs. While taking all of this into consideration Lawrence Construction performed roadway reconstruction, drainage improvements, retaining wall construction, lighting modifications, and landscaping improvements. Lawrence Construction constructed a 3-span, 330 ft concrete precast "U" girder bridge on I-70 over Sand Creek and the Sand Creek Regional Greenway Trail. This project was completed 15 days early and Lawrence Construciton received Early Completion Incentive Payment.
